BACKGROUND:
Good Neighbors (GN), an international NGO was founded in Korea in 1991 and operates in 40 countries across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, has been implementing various projects to promote and protect child rights, strengthen the global partnership, and advocate the right of the most vulnerable respectfully and effectively.
As a GN international field office, Good Neighbors Tanzania (GNTZ) has been present in Tanzania since 2005. Over these years, GNTZ has demonstrated a regional competence and expertise in working with local communities, government, and many different levels of stakeholders to improve quality of life, strengthen communities’ self-reliance, and improve standards in various areas such as health, education, water and sanitation, and child rights advocacy by creating an environment where children are able to grow up healthy and extend the accessibility of quality of education.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Good Neighbors Tanzania-Zanzibar Area Office is working with the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training (MoEVT) in Zanzibar to implement a three-year (2021-2024) KOICA funded project, “Strengthening capacity of secondary school education through radio educational broadcasting
” (SRE) project. The overall goal of the project is to enhance the quality of secondary school education through Radio to Secondary School students.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
GNTZ-ZAO in collaboration with the MoEVT is therefore seeking for experienced, self-motivated, highly competent individuals with exemplary ethical conduct to join SRE project as Research Assistants to conduct research which aims to: –
To empirically verify whether Good Neighbors International’s project to produce and distribute the radio educational broadcast in Zanzibar effectively improves the access to learning and motivation for secondary school students. The research is a three-year continuant study, and the first-year study will be conducted from June 01, 2022, to December 31, 2022. The theory of change at the learner, teacher, and community level in radio-utilizing education will be examined and, therein, the major elements affecting outcomes will be captured and studied.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
To participate in data collection for ongoing research projects.
Preparing progress reports.
A. Reporting
Write and submit a comprehensive activity report for each research The report will include findings/ results analysis of data collected using different data collection tools, facts and photos captured during the training sessions as per the provided template/questionnaires.
B. General:
Comply with Good Neighbors and MoEVT policies and practice with respect to code of conduct, health, safety and professionalism.
Period: from 13th to 16th August, 2022 including weeekends.

- Preparing interview questions and summarizing results after

- Attending project meetings
- Coordinate and take part in the field research processes, including feedback sessions and data cleaning
- To perform any other official duties as may be assigned by a supervisor
