Job Title: Head of Services
Department: Services
Reporting To: Country Manager
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania

Job Summary:
The Head of Services will be responsible for developing and managing workshop business operations to maximise customer and employee satisfaction, as well as business performance, ensuring that current service offerings meet customer demands and anticipating future needs for sustained growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively develop and manage the workshop business and operations.
  • Maximize customer and employee satisfaction as well as business performance.
  • Ensure that the current service offerings meet the current customer demands as well as develop them to meet future customer needs of uptime, efficiency and profitability.
  • Implement and develop Services Sales, Workshop Operations, Technical Support, Common Processes, Methods, as well as Efficient Organization by successfully achieving the short, medium and long-term targets.

Leadership Excellence:
  • Use hands on coaching approach regarding processes, tools, standards and solutions.
  • Acts with integrity and as an ambassador of Scania’s core values.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth within the Service team.
Customer Advocacy:
  • Can think outside of the box and find creative compliant ways of meeting and exceeding customer’s needs.
Strategy Development:
  • Can set and define clear directions, initiate, and pursue both short-term and long-term activities.
  • Are able to make quick and clear decisions with risk management in mind.
Operational Optimization:
  • Streamline service processes for maximum efficiency and productivity with the ability to implement the Scania way of working in the day-to-day operations.
  • Are structured and analytical, creating processes and follow ups within the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Managerial and leadership experience preferably in the heavy vehicle or a related B2B industry
  • Relevant business knowledge and experience in a similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Fluent in English
