On behalf of our client, we are looking for a social media manager and travel consultant who will be responsible to do the following :
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy.
- Create and curate engaging content across all social media platforms.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance, adjusting strategies as needed.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to align social media content with overall marketing strategies.
- Engage with followers, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community.
- Collaborate with influencers and engage in cross-promotional activities.
- Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Regularly update and manage profiles on platforms like Tripadvisor, Safari Bookings, and GMB.
- Assist clients in planning and booking their travel experiences with our client’s company.
- Provide detailed information on tour packages, destinations, and itineraries.
- Handle inquiries and provide exceptional customer service via email and phone.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of travel trends, destinations, and company offerings.
- Ensure all travel arrangements meet the company’s high standards.
- Work with the videographer/photographer to capture high-quality visuals of safari experiences.
- Utilize and coordinate content provided by safari guides to create authentic behind-the-scenes posts.
- Coordinate with the marketing team for special promotions, campaigns, and announcements.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role.
- Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva).
- Video editing skills with experience in creating short-form video content (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
- Excellent understanding of social media platforms and their algorithms.
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to create engaging and on-brand content.
- Experience in community management and influencer collaborations.
- Analytical skills to interpret social media data and make informed decisions.
- Passion for travel, adventure, and wildlife.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for on-site content creation in Tanzania.
- Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge of SEO and content marketing.
- Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Sprout Social).
Requirements
- Based in Arusha, Tanzania.
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Basic IT skills.
- Ability to work full-time.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Passion for travel and tourism.
- Prior experience in social media management is required, while training will be provided for the travel consultancy role.
