GBF-CLC Internship to Support Youth Strategy Development

New Internships Opportunities at WWF Tanzania November 2024

WWF International expanded its global Youth Engagement Programme for 18–30-year-olds in 2024. The Programme, which provides volunteering, internships, grassroots leadership training, and virtual mentorship opportunities, aims to inspire a new generation of environmental advocates and leaders, especially young women, in their countries and communities to actively contribute to youth and community-led conservation and help drive positive change.

Position Type: Internship
Position Title: GBF-CLC- Internship to support the development and implementation of the GBF-CLC Youth Strategy
Reports to: Senior Manager, Accelerating the Implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF)
Supervises: N/A
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Masasi Office, WWF Tanzania
Duration: One (1) year
Date: March 2025
Remuneration: Stipend for interns

Required Qualifications
  • A graduate with at least a Degree in Wildlife, Forestry, Environment, Climate, or Social Studies.
  • At least 1 year of experience in engaging with youth initiatives and networks.
  • At least 1 year of experience engaging in project management and coordination.
  • Familiar with the Global Biodiversity Framework.

Required Skills and Competencies
  • Data and knowledge management systems.
  • Organizing teams and events both internal and external (online and physical).
  • Working with diverse teams in diverse contexts.
  • Communications skills (writing and presentations).
  • Flexible and comfortable working in agile environments.
  • Identifies and aligns with the core values of the WWF organization: Courage, Integrity, Respect & Collaboration.
