We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hospital Laundry Attendant to join our patients care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection, sorting, washing, drying, pressing/ironing, folding, and distribution of hospital linens and staff uniforms. You will also maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room.

Biomedical Technician
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical equipment and a passion for ensuring patient safety. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a variety of medical devices. You will also provide technical support to clinical staff including equipment handling trainings and participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment.

Laundry Attendant/Medical AttendantLaundry Attendant/Medical Attendant at Maternity Africa February 2025
- Position: Laundry Attendant/Medical Attendant.
- Reporting Line: Human Resources.
- Work Station: Kivulini Maternity Centre, Arusha.
- Sector/Industry: Health
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Hospital Laundry Attendant to join our patients care team. - Collect and sort soiled linens from patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.
- Operate industrial washing machines and dryers.
- Wash, maintain and perform minor repairs on employees’ uniforms.
- Fold and stack clean linens.
- Distribute clean linens to patient rooms and other areas of the hospital.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and drying areas.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and certifications, Experience and Skills required.
- Must have an O-level (Secondary School Certificate).
- A certificate in Laundry Operations or Assistant Nursing.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a hospital laundry attendant.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
Biomedical Technician
Biomedical Technician at Maternity Africa February 2025
- Position: Biomedical Technician
- Reporting Line: Medical Doctor In-charge.
- Work Station: Kivulini Maternity Centre, Arusha.
- Sector/Industry: Health
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical equipment and a passion for ensuring patient safety. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and calibration of a variety of medical devices. You will also provide technical support to clinical staff including equipment handling trainings and participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of medical devices, including imaging equipment, patient monitoring systems, and laboratory equipment.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions.
- Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Provide technical support to clinical staff.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Comply with all safety and regulatory standards.
- Any other relevant duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.
Qualifications and certifications, Experience and Skills required.
- A Diploma in Biomedical Engineering Technology.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Biomedical Technician.
- Strong knowledge of medical equipment and electronics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certifications such as Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) will be an added advantage.
